It’s officially fall!
As we start to see the end of 2025 come into view, we still have lots going on in your organization. From Elections to Volunteer Opportunities, we hope to engage with more of you through the coming years.

Call for Nominations
An official letter calling for Nominations will be hitting your inboxes soon! There are three Regions who will have an election to pick a Director for the 2026-2027 term: Alberta, Quebec and the Yukon. Now is the time to consider volunteering, or nominating someone you feel would be a good fit.
Competition Committee
Volunteers needed!
Do you love watching comp results online? Want to learn more about how competitions work? We need volunteers for the competition committee – help with things like compiling lists of upcoming competitions for us to post on our website and also help us grow the competition scene over all.
We are currently looking for a new Competition Chair to lead the team as well. You don’t have to be a competition pilot to take on the role, though first hand experience is helpful too.

New MMS
The new Member Management System has been going through testing and is nearing completion. If your name was in the first batch of imports and you have already set up a name and password on the new system, you can renew on the new site using a credit card. You can sign in following the steps from your original email or contact the office for more details. The rest of the membership should be imported into the system shortly.
Awards
Every year we give out awards, and are always happy to share the stories and photos when they are sent in to the office.
In 2024, Eric Brent received the Jamie Christensen Award. He was nominated by Mark Baluk who noted that Eric has been a key supporter of aviation (both HG and PG) for over 50 years!
Terry Butcher was awarded the 2024 Instructor of the year with 18 nominations emailed in from both his students and pilots who have seen his contributions to the community.
The next awards get decided in February at the Annual Directors Meeting. A call for award nominations will go out in our next newsletter.
