Hey all hangglider and paraglider pilots

I,m trying to organize a flyin for Anarchist Mountain this year in Osoyoos
BC
I,m sure most of you have heard of this great site here in the Okanagan and probably many have also flown here.
My self and another buddy first pioneered this site back in 1975
It has always been a very friendly flying location and is flyable pretty much year round as you can see by the video here.
Anyways launch site here has never been an issue but the landing site over the last ten years with the coming of vineyards and the NK,MIP Resort and golf course has pretty much been squeezed out.
With some negotiations with the Osoyoos Indian Band, I,ve been able to secure their permission to land here once again, in fact they very much are looking forward to the flying traffic as they are able to see the value in it as a tourist attraction for their resort winery and golf courses.
Therefore to help bring more interest in their resort I,ve suggested to them that we organize a Fun Flyin.
May long weekend is when they would like to see this happen but at this time I,m open and requesting from all of you, some feedback.
There is hope of opening up a slightly lower launch 3200' that will enable many more gliders to be setup at the same time and a flat walk in as upper launch 3650 has enough room for maybe 3 at a time at the most and requires a 100' vertical hike.
This site is a very friendly thermal and ridgesoaring site that isn,t as prone to nasty strong thermal action as some of the other desert sites are.
If it gets too rough, you can simply fly out over the lake and it usually mellows out considerably.
That being said, this is still the desert, so mid afternoon flights can be a challenge for the novice pg pilots
Relatively early morning flights till late evening is the norm.
The landing zone is right on the lake which also helps smooth out the landing conditions a lot.
In a hangglider, I never cared, but in a paraglider, I like more mellow stuff when on final.
Evening glass offs are common here with awesome sunset flights into the dark.
The Band is very much looking forward to this and I,m hoping that there will be some interest to try this site out, especially with the prospect of securing this site on a more permanent basis.
Please post all comments here Pro or Con.
Many thanks to all
PeteR
