How To Log In
Dawson, Yukon. More info at http://www.eventbrite.ca/event/6588011921#
The event marks the start of the flying season for many people and is the largest gathering of Maritime pilots during the year. With over nine different potential flying sites and friendly competitions, it is a social highlight for many pilots.
Pilots from across Canada looking to visit the East should consider making the journey to Nova Scotia for this premier event. With several days of potential flying and a lobster boil on the beach overlooking the scenic Bay of Fundy, this is a very special event.
Muller Windsports has issued a challenge to break the Canadian Open Distance Records: $500 to the HG who flies more than 350 km, and $500 to the PG who flies more than 250 km! The requisite paperwork must be filed. For all the details see /forum/viewtopic.php?t=677
The HPAC third-party liability insurance is restricted to non-motorized foot-launched hang gliding and paragliding only and does not cover any form of motorized flight. Motorized flight is an entirely different category (ultralights) under Transport Canada.
Pilots flying paramotors and ultralights are encouraged to seek out third-party liability insurance through the UltraLight Pilots Association of Canada (www.upac.ca).
As the season is about to get under way, pilots are asked to check their HPAC
profile to see their membership is current, instructor certifications and endorsements
for instructors and tandem pilots are current and gear and reserves are thoroughly
checked pre-season, with reserve repacks where due.
